Any entrepreneur can tell you, launching a startup is a learning process. Therefore, one of the best things you can do prior to launching a startup of your own is to learn from those who have blazed the trail. We were fortunate enough to hear some valuable insights during our interview with Vali Nemetz, Head of Product and Consumer Education at beycome, that will inspire, motivate, and teach aspiring and established entrepreneurs alike.
What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?
“You must have more than just passion for what you are doing. You are going to wear a lot of hats. Be willing to learn, stay humble in the process, and try to have fun along the way.”
What is your advice for entrepreneurs in your industry specifically?
“The real estate tech industry is rapidly growing but has a lot of push back. This is disruptive and can really feel personal to people. Just stay the course. Know that change is hard for people but in the end, there is room for it all in the world.”
What is your advice for coming up with a unique startup idea?
“Share your idea with others. Get their honest feedback. If you have multiple people confused by what you are explaining, rethink it. Figure out your target demographic, and try to get them to tell you their pain points.”
What is your advice for overcoming challenges and failure?
“You will fail — that is going to happen during this process. If your idea is important to the world, it will be successful. Keep going. Try not to take it as personal as it feels. When you have dreamt about this idea for years, it feels so painful when something goes wrong or it gets a bad review. Try and take that for what it’s worth and learn from it, nothing more.”
What is the biggest lesson you learned and what can aspiring entrepreneurs take from it?
“You need a strong support system, and you need time and space each day where you can shut it off. Have a conversation that is not about your business.”
