5 Insights From the Founder of Autimely

Any entrepreneur can tell you, launching a startup is a learning process. Therefore, one of the best things you can do prior to launching a startup of your own is to learn from those who have blazed the trail. We were fortunate enough to hear some valuable insights during our interview with Joshua Bowlin of Autimely that will inspire, motivate, and teach aspiring and established entrepreneurs alike.
What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?
“My advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is to develop an idea that you truly believe in — that you would give up everything that you have to see it come true and go make it happen. It only happens if you take the first step, so take the first step. Don't leave yourself saying, “I wish I would have [gotten] in the habit of saying I'm glad I did.”
What is your advice for entrepreneurs in your industry specifically?
“For entrepreneurs in the automotive industry, this is a great time to be in the space. I feel that this is one of the last truly large markets that haven't seen [a] real change in over 20 years, and so, you couldn't have picked a better time to be in this space and in this industry.”
What is your advice for coming up with a unique startup idea?
“To come up with a unique startup idea, I'd look at my daily life and see where things could be improved. At the end of the day, a great business is just an idea that solves problems for a lot of people.”
What is your advice for overcoming challenges and failure?
“Everyone will face challenges and failures in life[,] it's how you deal with them that sets you apart.”
What is the biggest lesson you learned and what can aspiring entrepreneurs take from it?
“The biggest lesson I've learned is to stay focused and keep on track on what you're looking to accomplish. The only person that will get you to your end goals is yourself, and that means you have to stay focus[ed].”
