Drink Monday is a non-alcoholic beverage company that currently offers two different products: a non-alcoholic American whiskey and a non-alcoholic London-dry style gin. Drink Monday was founded in order to help alcohol avoiders enjoy the flavor of adult beverages without worrying about how they'll feel Monday morning, and the company's two great-tasting non-alcoholic spirits have certainly put them off to a good start.

2. Ritual Zero Proof

  • Location: Chicago, Illinois
  • Funding: Undisclosed 

Founded in 2019, Ritual Zero Proof currently produces non-alcoholic whiskey, tequila, rum, and gin — all of which are made using all-natural, individually-distilled botanicals. In January 2020, Ritual Zero Proof raised an undisclosed amount of early-stage venture funding from a London-based VC firm focused on growing non-alcoholic beverage brands called Distill Ventures.

3. Leilo (Acquired by Fiji Kava)

  • Location: New York, New York
  • Funding: Undisclosed 

Leilo is a company that believes a great non-alcoholic beverage needs to be relaxing in addition to tasting great in order to really fill the place of its alcoholic counterpart. That's why Leilo beverages are made using kava and l-theanine, both of which are designed to have a calming and relaxing effect without being intoxicating.

4. Lyre's Spirit Co.

  • Location: Rickmansworth, United Kingdom
  • Funding: Series A, $45 Million

Lyre's Spirit Co. was founded in 2019 with the goal of replicating all popular spirits as non-alcoholic beverages. Today, Lyre's Spirit Co. produces an incredibly wide range of non-alcoholic spirits, including non-alcoholic tequila, bourbon, gin, absinthe, and more.

5. Coolberg (Acquired by Ghodawat Consumer)

  • Location: Mumbai, India

Founded in 2016, Coolberg today remains India's only non-alcoholic beer company. In addition to a non-alcoholic beer, Coolberg also offers flavored malt-based drinks that come in flavors such as cranberry, ginger, peach, and mint.

6. Surely

  • Location: Austin, Texas
  • Funding: Seed, 2.5 Million

Surely uses grapes sourced from California's finest vineyards to produce both sparkling rosé and sparkling white wines. After these wines have been distilled, though, Surely painstakingly removes all of the alcohol from them before adding in fruit juice and other all-natural ingredients to polish their taste. The result is a great-tasting and healthy wine that is completely alcohol-free.

7. Outbound Brewing

Founded in 2018, Outbound Brewing is a startup that produces both hemp-infused and traditional non-alcoholic beers. Outbound Brewing’s hemp-infused non-alcoholic beers are designed to provide a relaxing sensation without any intoxication, making them an especially interesting alternative to alcoholic beers.

8. Thomson & Scott

  • Location: San Diego, California
  • Funding: Equity Crowdfunding, £1.1 Million

Founded by Amanda Thomson in 2015 — a woman who was named one of Business Insider’s Coolest People in Food and Drink in 2019 — Thomson & Scott produces non-alcoholic wines and champagnes that are vegan, organic, and sugar-free.

9. Athletic Brewing Co.

  • Location: Stratford, Connecticut
  • Funding: Series Unknown, $236 Million

One of the most recognizable new names in the non-alcoholic beer industry, Athletic Brewing Company was founded in 2017 and today produces a range of non-alcoholic craft beers. What really put Athletic Brewing Co. on the map, though, aside from their great-tasting brews, is the brand's high-profile investors, which included NFL star JJ Watt, cyclist Lance Armstrong, and co-founder of Tom's Shoes Blake Mycoskie.

10. Seedlip (Acquired by Diageo)

  • Location: London, United Kingdom
  • Funding: Undisclosed 

Since 2015, Seedlip has produced a variety of non-alcoholic spirits using distilled barks, herbs, spices, and citrus peels in addition to cocktail kits and recipe books. Seedlip was acquired in 2019 by Diageo — one of the world's leading premium spirits brands.
