Insights From the Founder of Events Startup Stay22

Founder of Stay22

Any entrepreneur can tell you, launching a startup is a learning process. Therefore, one of the best things you can do prior to launching a startup of your own is to learn from those who have blazed the trail. We were fortunate enough to hear some valuable insights during our interview with Andrew Lockhead of travel startup Stay22 that will inspire, motivate, and teach aspiring and established entrepreneurs alike.

What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?

“Get to product-market fit asap, don’t waste time building something amazing that nobody cares about, MVP is good enough to confirm if it’s a true pain killer.”

What is your advice for entrepreneurs in your industry specifically?

“Entertainment is a small world. You only have one chance at getting in — don’t waste it!”

What is your advice for coming up with a unique startup idea?

“Look around you, talk with people and find something in the world that you believe is broken. Find what you’re the best person to act on, fix and make the world a better place at the end of the journey.”

What is your advice for overcoming challenges and failure?

“Always, always take a step back and take the time to reflect on the possibilities. You’ll find that there’s much learning from challenges and failure; take it as an opportunity to grow.”

What is the biggest lesson you learned and what can aspiring entrepreneurs take from it?

“Time is your most valuable resource. Don’t try to do everything on your own, talk with others, and learn from their experience. You can’t waste time — take the shortcut!”
