Insights From the Founder of IT Startup oVice

oVice founder.

Any entrepreneur can tell you, launching a startup is a learning process. Therefore, one of the best things you can do prior to launching a startup of your own is to learn from those who have blazed the trail. We were fortunate enough to hear some valuable insights during our interview with Sae Hyung Jung of oVice that will inspire, motivate, and teach aspiring and established entrepreneurs alike.

What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?

“Become your own client to develop a better service and take customer feedback into consideration.”

What is your advice for entrepreneurs in your industry specifically?

“As a communication service, I would say focusing on providing a stable network for smooth communication.”

What is your advice for coming up with a unique startup idea?

“Find something that makes you frustrated, and start thinking of a way to fix it or at least make it less frustrating.”

What is your advice for overcoming challenges and failure?

“In any business, failure happens all the time, but it’s not something that you’d want to keep thinking about. Running a business is all about facing challenges and looking for the best way to solve [them]. However, when you can’t overcome those challenges and you’re losing the motivation for your business, that’s when you know it’s the time to stop and find something new.”

What is the biggest lesson you learned and what can aspiring entrepreneurs take from it?

“If your startup is imploding due to external factors like right timing or luck, but you’re still motivated and you’re certain that your idea has value in the future, do not give up and try to pivot your way in another direction.”
