Insights From the Founder of Edtech Startup Linguix

Linguix founder.

Any entrepreneur can tell you, launching a startup is a learning process. Therefore, one of the best things you can do prior to launching a startup of your own is to learn from those who have blazed the trail. We were fortunate enough to hear some valuable insights during our interview with Alex Lashkov of Linguix that will inspire, motivate, and teach aspiring and established entrepreneurs alike.

What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?

“Focus on the product but do not forget the marketing. These things should go in parallel, or else you either will end up with a great product nobody heard of or spend resources to attract users that won’t stay due to the poor quality.”

What is your advice for entrepreneurs in your industry specifically?

“Technology is key, but you should not overlook people using it. Think about them, their issues, desires, and emotions.”

What is your advice for coming up with a unique startup idea?

“I believe in scratching [my] own itch. If you do not have a particular problem, it will be hard to solve it.”

What is your advice for overcoming challenges and failure?

“You need to have a set of goals, a bigger one and smaller ones. Even if you fail to reach one goal, chances are you will hit others, and the project will still be a success, at least for you personally.”

What is the biggest lesson you learned and what can aspiring entrepreneurs take from it?

“You can’t do anything alone. You will need a great team, and building it is actually your main task as a founder.”
