Insights From the Founder of Social Media Startup KiKi Social

KiKi Social Founder.

Any entrepreneur can tell you, launching a startup is a learning process. Therefore, one of the best things you can do prior to launching a startup of your own is to learn from those who have blazed the trail. We were fortunate enough to hear some valuable insights during our interview with Manel Hernández Tomás of KiKi Social that will inspire, motivate, and teach aspiring and established entrepreneurs alike.

What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?

“Facta, non verba. Constancy — no matter what happens, just keep going, put your head down, and keep working. Be a doer.”

What is your advice for entrepreneurs in your industry specifically?

“Try to acquire all the knowledge you can find on the net, and when you consider it enough, still looking for more — especially from the ones who are doing great. When we started, there was hardly any information [available].”

What is your advice for overcoming challenges and failure?

“I always remember and apply a quote from the superhero oath that we recited every morning during my time at Draper University: ‘I will fail and fail again until I succeed’ because the storm will pass and you will achieve what you proposed.”

What is the biggest lesson you learned and what can aspiring entrepreneurs take from it?

“I know that I know nothing. As much knowledge you acquire, you see that is nothing compared with what you need to learn, so the best way is: go out, build, test it, and improve it. Learn by doing.

You don’t have anything to lose. Nowadays, you have thousands of no-code sources, perks to use products for free, Google it, whatever [it is], take it and go ahead. Don’t be scared [of] getting [it] wrong; get scared of not trying it.”
