What is your #1 piece of advice for startup founders?
“Don't lose yourself in the process. Make intentional time with your family, friends, and favorite hobbies. Do things daily that ground you everyday so that you can continue to flow from a centered space instead of a space of striving. Make sure to eat, sleep and drink water even on the days that are back to back. Prioritizing your health is number one!”
What is the best method you've found to avoid burnout as an entrepreneur?
“Rest. Turning off my phone on the weekends. Creating space for myself in nature.”
What is your advice for coming up with a unique startup idea?
“I would say connect deeply with your soul purpose and make a decision from there. Something you can picture yourself doing every day and that gets you excited to wake up in the morning.”
What is your advice for overcoming challenges and failure?
“Move on as quickly as possible. Don't sit in disappointment or guilt. Get up and keep going.”
What is the biggest lesson you learned and what can aspiring entrepreneurs take from it?
“I've learned that life is ever moving and the quicker that I can let go of control the more at ease I can be. My dad used to say when I was growing up all you can do is all you can do, and that's all you can do. So be proud of the work that you do every day. It's enough.”
What is your advice for entrepreneurs seeking funding for the first time?
“Do it. Get support from those around you. There's no need to wait, go after your dreams and make it happen.”
