Any entrepreneur can tell you, launching a startup is a learning process. Therefore, one of the best things you can do prior to launching a startup of your own is to learn from those who have blazed the trail. We were fortunate enough to hear some valuable insights during our interview with Turner Osler, M.D. of design startup QOR360 that will inspire, motivate, and teach aspiring and established entrepreneurs alike.
What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?
“Fail fast. Your first idea isn’t likely your best idea, unless it’s your only idea.”
What is your advice for coming up with a unique startup idea?
“I think ideas will find you. But, as Pasture observed: ‘Chance favors the prepared mind.’ So, study deeply, think broadly, and read widely.”
What is your advice for overcoming challenges and failure?
“Start with a good idea that justifies your unshakable faith. And, don’t run out of money.”
What is the biggest lesson you learned and what can aspiring entrepreneurs take from it?
“It’s never too late to have a new idea, and it doesn’t matter if it has nothing to do with your career in any conventional sense. Your whole life has prepared you for some adventure. The trick is to discover what that adventure might be.”
