Founder of SaaS Startup Mimiran Shares Their Top Insights

Any entrepreneur can tell you, launching a startup is a learning process. Therefore, one of the best things you can do prior to launching a startup of your own is to learn from those who have blazed the trail. Reuben Swartz, founder of SaaS startup Mimiran, shared valuable insights during our interview that will inspire and motivate aspiring entrepreneurs.

What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?

“Fall in love with the customer's problem, not your solution.”

What is the best method you've found to avoid burnout as an entrepreneur?

“Stay focused on the mission and on helping. Plus, take care of yourself. Get good sleep, eat properly, exercise, socialize. You need to bring your all to your mission, and you can't do that if you're burned out.”

What is your advice for coming up with a unique startup idea?

“Talk to people in your target market. As a software guy, it's tempting to just start writing code, but as I mentioned above, it's important to fall in love with the problem, not your solution. As the economy develops, there are more and more niches that need help.”

What is your advice for overcoming challenges and failure?

“The more successful you are, the more failures you will have. Success is just learning from failure, from the time we tried to walk to whatever awesome venture you're working on now.”

What is the biggest lesson you learned and what can aspiring entrepreneurs take from it?

“Have a deep desire to solve the customers' problem, not just grow the venture. You'll feel differently about the work, and customers and partners will notice.”

What is the best advice you've ever received?

“Be kind. (And don't forget to be kind to yourself.)”
