Insights From the Founder of YData

YData co-founder.

Any entrepreneur can tell you, launching a startup is a learning process. Therefore, one of the best things you can do prior to launching a startup of your own is to learn from those who have blazed the trail. We were fortunate enough to hear some valuable insights during our interview with Gonçalo Martins Ribeiro of YData that will inspire, motivate, and teach aspiring and established entrepreneurs alike.

What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?

“Can you live WITHOUT creating this product?”

What is your advice for entrepreneurs in your industry specifically?

“AI is the future but doesn't need to be the present to show a product can solve a problem. Keep things simple and invest in AI only when it's really needed and data is available.”

What is your advice for coming up with a unique startup idea?

“[It is] not about the idea, it's about the problem. Then put your own perspective on it.”

What is your advice for overcoming challenges and failure?

“Surround yourself with people that believe in what you do and encourage you to achieve more. It will be a painful journey, and you'll need all the support available. Learn as fast as possible because failure is unavoidable.”

What is the biggest lesson you learned and what can aspiring entrepreneurs take from it?

“Dream and pitch big, build and ship small and fast.”
