Any entrepreneur can tell you, launching a startup is a learning process. Therefore, one of the best things you can do prior to launching a startup of your own is to learn from those who have blazed the trail. We were fortunate enough to hear some valuable insights during our interview with Lawrence Tan of Vase Creation that will inspire, motivate, and teach aspiring and established entrepreneurs alike.
What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?
“Good things take time. Put your heart to it and reach for your dreams. All the best, and don't give up.”
What is your advice for entrepreneurs in your industry specifically?
“Be honest, earning more money is definitely good for every business, but don't ever give out false information or just [a] marketing gimmick. The reason there are businesses like us in the industry is to make people's lives better and not give out false information to gain from people's unfortunate experiences.”
What is your advice for coming up with a unique startup idea?
“Have trust and faith in your idea. Make sure you have a good team around you to help achieve that.”
What is your advice for overcoming challenges and failure?
“Challenges and failure are part [of the] puzzle of entrepreneurship, take in the lessons learned and keep your head up. The more lessons you learn, the better your decisions in future.”
What is the biggest lesson you learned and what can aspiring entrepreneurs take from it?
“Everything takes time. Don't be disheartened when things don't go your way — the universe works in funny ways as new opportunities will arise. Always remember the goal and never leave its sight.”
