Founder of SaaS Startup Terraview Shares Their Top Insights

Terraview founder.

Any entrepreneur can tell you, launching a startup is a learning process. Therefore, one of the best things you can do prior to launching a startup of your own is to learn from those who have blazed the trail. Prateek Srivastva, founder of SaaS startup Terraview, shared valuable insights during our interview that will inspire and motivate aspiring entrepreneurs.

What is the best method you've found to avoid burnout as an entrepreneur?

“Do things that develop learning, learning a new language, learning to play an instrument. It allows me to have a downtime and also accelerates focus.”

What is your advice for coming up with a unique startup idea?

“You should have a big and compelling reason to do anything. If your idea comes from personal pain or need, [the] chances of you pursuing it and executing is exponentially higher. [It] doesn't matter what the idea is, you need sheer relentlessness to execute, so come up with an idea which has the right reason behind it.”

What is your advice for overcoming challenges and failure?

“Life is a sum of challenges and failures. My advice is simple: keep getting better every day, keep working on making yourself better physically [and] emotionally, stay humble and embrace the ride, and always show up every day.”

What is the biggest lesson you learned and what can aspiring entrepreneurs take from it?

“Hard work is the most predictable and compounding asset class that you have. Work hard, and you will gain from it financially, emotionally, and intellectually. There is no substitute for that.”
