Any entrepreneur can tell you, launching a startup is a learning process. Therefore, one of the best things you can do prior to launching a startup of your own is to learn from those who have blazed the trail. Timur Chernenko, founder of SaaS startup Gurucan, shared valuable insights during our interview that will inspire and motivate aspiring entrepreneurs.
What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?
“Try, make mistakes, and learn from them. And enjoy the process 100%.”
What is the best method you’ve found to avoid burnout as an entrepreneur?
“Find a sphere you are really passionate about. Answer a question, ‘do I really see myself doing this for the next 10 years?’ If the answer is yes, then everything else is just tactics.”
What is your advice for overcoming challenges and failure?
“Analyse it and keep going. There is no other way.”
What is the biggest lesson you learned and what can aspiring entrepreneurs take from it?
“Business has a lot of correlation with sports. I like the quote from Mike Tyson: ‘Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.’
For me, the biggest lesson was exactly the same. Startup plans never work out as planned. Just overcome your fear and do it.”
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Answer the question ‘what do you really want to [do] for the next 5-10 years?’ And will you enjoy it?”
