Any entrepreneur can tell you, launching a startup is a learning process. Therefore, one of the best things you can do prior to launching a startup of your own is to learn from those who have blazed the trail. Moidu Chandanam, founder of mobility startup fleetroot, shared valuable insights during our interview that will inspire and motivate aspiring entrepreneurs.

What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?

“Keep doing well what you’re [already] doing.”

What is the best method you've found to avoid burnout as an entrepreneur?

“Being with fellow entrepreneurs once in a week really gave me a lot of perspective of understanding my problems are more or less same [as] people who build things.”

What is your advice for coming up with a unique startup idea?

“Iterate with someone else. If it is ticking, then it’s worth a try.”

What is your advice for overcoming challenges and failure?

“Life is super dynamic. Whether you do a startup or not, understanding a failure is necessary for someone on the other side to be the winner. At times, you need to let things go.”

What is the biggest lesson you learned and what can aspiring entrepreneurs take from it?

“My biggest lesson for a first-time founder is to get to a good accelerator as early as possible in the journey.”

What is the best advice you've ever received?

“Don't think too much about things [that are] not in your control.”
