Any entrepreneur can tell you, launching a startup is a learning process. Therefore, one of the best things you can do prior to launching a startup of your own is to learn from those who have blazed the trail. We were fortunate enough to hear some valuable insights during our interview with Kal Bielawski of Boxabl that will inspire, motivate, and teach aspiring and established entrepreneurs alike.
What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?
“Don’t take ‘no’ for an answer.”
What is your advice for entrepreneurs in your industry specifically?
“Start from first principles. Question everything that has, and is currently being done, in construction. Leverage new materials, processes, etc., before anyone else.”
What is your advice for coming up with a unique startup idea?
“Identifying unique problems in the 21st century requires knowledge into emerging industries as well as a vision for the future. If you are a granular thinker, you will need a visionary on your team. Conversely, if you are a visionary, you will need someone on your team that has subject matter expertise in the industry you are entering.”
What is your advice for overcoming challenges and failure?
“There’s a huge difference in expectations that is not always talked about. Challenges and failures are expectations that you want to have when you expect failure and challenges along the journey you are preparing. The only expectations that let you down in life are the ones that you desire or are better off from.”
What is the biggest lesson you learned and what can aspiring entrepreneurs take from it?
“You will only succeed when you fully commit. This is especially true if you have a big idea.”
