Founder of B2B Startup Ability to Engage Shares Their Top Insights

Ability to Engage founder.

Any entrepreneur can tell you, launching a startup is a learning process. Therefore, one of the best things you can do prior to launching a startup of your own is to learn from those who have blazed the trail. Ida Abdalkhani, founder of B2B startup Ability to Engage, shared valuable insights during our interview that will inspire and motivate aspiring entrepreneurs.

What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?

“Have a plan, but be ready to change it. We can have the best ideas on paper that turn out differently in practice, and entrepreneurs have to be ready to let go of some ideas to succeed.”

What is the best method you've found to avoid burnout as an entrepreneur?

“30-minute meetings! Most meetings do not need to be one hour. Making 30-minute meetings the default was a game-changer.”

What is your advice for coming up with a unique startup idea?

“Think about a blue ocean approach and a strategy where you can create demand.”

What is your advice for overcoming challenges and failure?

“Reframe challenges as opportunities. What is possible if there's a new constraint? How can you approach an obstacle from a different perspective?”

What is the biggest lesson you learned and what can aspiring entrepreneurs take from it?

“Ask ‘why’ both when something works and when it doesn't. Focus on learning from the drivers of wins and losses to reevaluate and evolve.”

What is the best advice you've ever received?

“Just get started and learn by doing. Don't wait for everything to be perfect.”
