Meeting Up With New Business Investors
The dating app company is currently searching for interested investors on the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform. MingleWise set a flexible campaign goal of $6,830 for its startup business. So far, the startup company has generated over $4,600 for its all-in-one dating app from more than 60 investors on the platform. Minglewise still has over a month left in the campaign to meet its funding goal.
Funding generated for the startup business during the campaign will largely be spent on marketing, in addition to hiring new team members and further developing the MingleWise platform. Additional funding is reserved for other operating expenses such as IT infrastructure, hosting fees, and more.
Early investors in the dating app business have the opportunity to secure premium subscriptions to the upcoming platform at a discounted rate. The startup company has been developing its app and AI technology since August 2020. Currently, the dating app is only accessible by invite only.
After the completion of the fundraising campaign, MingleWise plans to launch its all-in-one dating app on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store sometime in October.
Verifying Professional and Dating Profiles With AI
The London-based startup company was founded in 2019 by entrepreneur Ishan Soni. According to the campaign page for the business, the platform can be thought of as a cross between existing platforms Tinder, LinkedIn, and Eventbrite.
MingleWise uses AI technology to not only filter out fake accounts but to help match users with other like-minded individuals. Within the platform, users can try virtual speed dating sessions, as well as go on video dates with other users. In the future, the company plans to allow users to book venues and restaurant reservations for their upcoming dates within the app.
Alongside the dating component, AI technology is also used to help app users connect with other professionals and potential job opportunities. Additionally, users will have the ability to host virtual and hybrid events through the platform, allowing for greater networking opportunities.
As users continue to match and attend various events on the MingleWise platform, the AI will use the information to provide more accurate connections in the future.
Making Room in the Virtual Dating and Social Networking Markets
The virtual dating industry is home to numerous competitors both large and small, each with its own unique twist to matching users. MingleWise does stand out from many existing options since the platform built by the startup business can also be used for hosting events and professional networking. Many popular options, such as Tinder and Bumble, focus primarily on forming romantic relationships or casual friendships.
Market research projects the global online dating services market to reach over $9.2 billion by 2025. The industry is expected to register a CAGR of 4.7% over the forecast period.
