In fact, the company has recently passed a major milestone in deliveries because of this influx of business. Luxer One is a smart locker company that provides lockers specifically for package deliveries. However, over the course of the past year, Luxer One has expanded significantly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Once mostly used for condominiums and apartment buildings, the company’s smart lockers are now used in a wide variety of different locations, including libraries, offices, government buildings, and retail stores such as California State Universities, Honeywell, Macy's, and Foot Locker. With this expansion, Luxer One has in turn been the receptacle to a major influx of contactless deliveries, becoming the first US-based company to pass 100 million deliveries.

When speaking on the influx of popularity in 2020, founder and CEO of Luxer One, Arik Levy said, “We've gone from being a smart locker company primarily serving package management for condominium complexes and some retail stores to a contactless solution company serving multiple industries for a variety of purposes in less than one year. I had a long-term vision of this, since smart lockers and automation are quite common in Europe; but the speed with which it happened in the US was stunning.”

Contactless delivery has been booming in 2020 as so many different industries have begun adopting it en masse. Luxer One’s services were mostly used in big-box retail services specifically to save staff time; However, the 100 million deliveries that the company has been privy to is showing how dynamically fast this industry is growing. Especially when considering how nearly every major food delivery service has now adopted the practice, the need looks likely to continue even after the COVID-19 pandemic wanes.
