- They’re the only business phone service I’m aware of that offers Slack integration. Slack is quickly becoming one of the top business apps available, and in fact I use it to communicate with my own team every day, so Kixie’s integrations with Slack are quite handy.
- Kixie runs on a month-to-month subscription plan, so unlike many competitors, you don’t need to pre-pay or sign a lengthy contract. If at any time you decide you no longer want their service, you can cancel at any time for any reason.
Cons of Kixie
- Their packages don’t include any minutes. Instead, you can buy them by the minute for 1.6 cents each, or you can add unlimited minutes to any plan for $30, which makes their seemingly low prices look pretty high all of a sudden.
- Kixie only includes phone support with their most expensive Enterprise service plan. All other customers receive only email support, which is obviously far from an ideal solution when you need help. Their iPhone/Android apps are only accessible for Enterprise customers as well.

I mentioned earlier that the Basic plan is a rather stripped down offering, and that’s highlighted even more by the fact that Kixie’s plans don’t include any talk time. However, their by-the-minute pricing isn’t bad, as 1.6 cents/minute is a really low rate.
Below, I’ve outlined the key differences between Kixie’s 3 service packages, which should help you get a better idea for which one you’d like to try.

This is a tough one for me. On the one hand, it’s hard for me to give a full recommendation to a service package that doesn’t include phone support. Maybe I value this feature more than you do, but it seems like you should be able to place phone calls to your phone service, does it not?
On the other hand, $65 per user per month is kind of a lot, especially when you factor in that you still have to buy minutes. I guess in the end my favorite is Basic, because if you don’t need many minutes it is a really cheap option.
Customer feedback is one of Kixie’s biggest selling points in my opinion, as they maintain excellent average rating scores across every site with a healthy volume of reviews.
Their happy clients often point out how smoothly Kixie works compared to other business phone service providers, and they also rave about their U.S.-based support team. (Maybe paying that extra money for phone support is worth it after all? Maybe?)

Pricing: Nextiva’s pricing generally runs from $34.99-$44.99 per user per month, although they do have discounts for pre-paying service and/or for signing up multiple users. Kixie offers service for as low as $15 per month, but it’s not all that comparable due to the large differences in features.
Features: Nextiva provides all of their customers with unlimited minutes, which is a feature Kixie charges $30 extra for. As for integration options with popular apps, Nextiva offers Skype integration, compared to Kixie’s Slack solutions. Finally, Nextiva offers phone support for all users, whereas Kixie only provides email support unless you buy their most expensive package.
Customer Support: Regardless of the format of support, Kixie users seem happy with the quality of service they receive from Kixie support agents, and that’s the case with Nextiva’s reps as well. Kixie is open from 11am-9pm ET Monday through Friday, whereas Nextiva is available from 8am-9pm ET weekdays and 9am-9pm ET weekends.
