Founder of Sustainable Startup Bluebird Climate Shares Their Top Insights

Founder of Bluebird Climate.

Any entrepreneur can tell you, launching a startup is a learning process. Therefore, one of the best things you can do prior to launching a startup of your own is to learn from those who have blazed the trail. We were fortunate enough to hear some valuable insights during our interview with Jamie McCroskery of Bluebird Climate that will inspire, motivate, and teach aspiring and established entrepreneurs alike.

What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?

“Think hard about how you want to spend your time. If entrepreneurship is the right choice for you, you need to make sure you're working on something you really care about. It's hard enough to build a business, and if you don't care deeply about what you're doing, you won't be able to maintain the persistence.”

What is your advice for entrepreneurs in your industry specifically?

“There are tons and tons of people who want to help in the climate/sustainability space.”

What is your advice for coming up with a unique startup idea?

“Read ‘The Mom Test.’ It helps you come up, evolve, and validate ideas that people actually care about.”

What is your advice for overcoming challenges and failure?

“You'll need an outlet to recharge and a support network, which for me has been founder friends.”

What is the biggest lesson you learned and what can aspiring entrepreneurs take from it?

“Don't go it alone.”
