Any entrepreneur can tell you, launching a startup is a learning process. Therefore, one of the best things you can do prior to launching a startup of your own is to learn from those who have blazed the trail. We were fortunate enough to hear some valuable insights during our interview with Adrian Ferrero and Alberto Acedo of Biome Makers that will inspire, motivate, and teach aspiring and established entrepreneurs alike.

What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?

“Launch as soon as you can (minimum viable product) and look for validation. For entrepreneurs, feedback is gold.”

What is your advice for entrepreneurs in your industry specifically?

“This is the perfect time to work in agriculture. Together, we can solve the challenges specific to this industry and help each other succeed. The value chain starts with a technological connection with each other and ends with a common good for all [of] mankind.”

What is your advice for coming up with a unique startup idea?

“Look around, analyze problems, and identify solutions that convert into potential profitability. Building a company is not just a great idea — it’s also a sustainable and profitable way of doing business.”

What is your advice for overcoming challenges and failure?

“Failure is a part of any startup or entrepreneur’s life. A company isn’t static. It’s always in motion, a cyclical game, moving from the top to the bottom and then back to the top again. The important thing is to be prepared to face each stage with a positive attitude.”

What is the biggest lesson you learned and what can aspiring entrepreneurs take from it?

“Be open to advice from mentors, other entrepreneurs, advisors, investors, or anybody who has a constructive opinion about your business. They may have seen things in their lives that are unfamiliar to you, and their feedback can help you avoid making the same mistakes. That said, don’t get too frustrated by negative feedback. If you still feel confident about your business plan, move forward no matter what anyone says.”
