1. Nextiva - $34.95-44.95/month
Nextiva’s pricing model isn’t quite as friendly to large companies as Grasshopper’s flat-rate costs. They charge per user, so if you have more than just a couple employees who need phone service, their prices could add up in a big hurry. However, they have a great selection of features including unlimited minutes, Skype integration, professionally recorded greetings and more. With Nextiva, you’ll also receive their highly regarded customer service, which is one of the things their clients regularly praise about Nextiva when they write reviews. Speaking of customer feedback, that’s another major pro for this service provider, as they have hundreds of reviews available online and nearly all of them are quite positive in nature.
2. RingCentral - $29.99-69.99/month
RingCentral is the most popular business phone service I’m aware of, as they have 350,000 active customers on their platform. The way they structure their talk time is different from Grasshopper and Nextiva, as they bundle in a limited amount of minutes with each of their service plans. These minutes packages start at 100 in their baseline package, all the way up to 10,000 with their top-tier plan. One of RingCentral’s biggest selling points is in their software integrations, as their platform works seamlessly with Google, Microsoft, Dropbox, Salesforce, Zendesk, and more of the most popular software solutions on the market today. On the other hand, they don’t get the greatest customer reviews, and many of their clients have issues with the way they outsource their customer service.
3. Talkroute - $19-99/month
Talkroute doesn’t have the same level of experience that any of the previously mentioned service providers do, but they’ve built up a dedicated customer base of their own since opening in 2013. Their prices for business phone service start at just $19, which is even more impressive when you consider the fact that they have a flat-rate pricing model. It’s no big surprise that Talkroute doesn’t have a high volume of customer reviews, but the few dozen they do have are overwhelmingly positive. The one major downside of their service is that they provide only web-based support for customers who purchase their Basic ($19/month) or Plus ($39) packages. You are only entitled to phone support if you subscribe to their top-tier Pro package ($59).
Ready To Get Started?
All of these service providers are capable of assisting you with professional business phone service. Any of them will also be considerably more affordable than traditional landline service from your phone company, and they’re also quite a bit more convenient and portable. Regardless of whether you pick Grasshopper, Nextiva, RingCentral or Talkroute, I think you’ll be quite pleased with your decision. In my eyes, all 4 of these companies are well worth recommending.
At the end of the day, my personal favorite depends on how many users you’ll have on the service. If you need business phone service for 1-2 people, I would recommend Nextiva. However, if you require more than just a few phone lines, I think Grasshopper’s flat-rate pricing is a better option. Keep in mind that if you would like more information on any of these services, take a look at our full reviews of each provider.
