CorpNet Registered Agent Review

Is It Right For You? (Pros, Cons & More)

CorpNet Registered Agent Review

Do you need registered agent service for your business but you don’t know who has the best service for the price? With so many registered agent providers these days, it’s tough to tell who’s the right fit for your company. Trust me, I’ve been there myself!

To complement your own research, my team and I have invested countless hours into researching the details of every major registered agent service. Rather than try to talk you into using one over another, my goal is to give you the info you need to make the best choice for your business.

In this CorpNet registered agent review, I’ll walk you through some pros and cons, pricing and features, customer reviews and more. Let’s find out if they’re the best fit for you!

Pros & Cons of CorpNet

Pros of CorpNet

  • They offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee for all of their services. If you don’t like the job they do as your registered agent, simply request your money back, no questions asked.
  • If you also need to officially form your company (LLC or Corporation), CorpNet offers a full year of registered agent service for free with their top two business formation packages.
  • CorpNet may be a major company, but this family-owned business still has that personal touch. The husband and wife team of Philip and Nellie Akalp have over two decades of experience in the online incorporation industry, and they’ve served more than 100,000 businesses.
  • It’s tough to top their customer feedback. For example, they’ve got a 9.5 average out of 10 stars on TrustPilot out of nearly 250 reviews.

Cons of CorpNet

  • They’re not the cheapest option out there. CorpNet’s annual fee of $149 per year is certainly not the highest in the industry, but it’s not the lowest either. (Ex: Northwest Registered Agent only charges $125/year for essentially the same services.)

With CorpNet serving as your registered agent, they take responsibility for handling any litigation notices or government paperwork, making sure those documents reach you swiftly and safely.

As with all other CorpNet products (like DBA and LLC registration), their registered agent service is backed by their 100% satisfaction guarantee, which says they will refund their service fees for any reason if you’re not pleased with their work. They also have Norton Shopper Guarantee, which covers purchases up to $1,000 and provides identity theft protection up to $10,000.

Customer Reviews

CorpNet is clearly quite popular with their customers, as they have great reviews all across the web. Their happy customers frequently compliment CorpNet’s helpful, professional support agents, as well as talk about how fast their services are.

Conclusion: It’s tough to beat CorpNet’s customer reviews. They’ve got 300+ online reviews, and only about 1% of them are critical. If you place a lot of value on customer reviews, CorpNet likely just moved up a notch in your eyes.

How CorpNet Compares

With as much time as I’ve invested into researching registered agent services, I’ve discovered that some providers simply offer better deals than others. Still, the goal is to discover which company has the right combination of pricing and features for you.

CorpNet is a great choice for registered agent service because of their stellar customer reviews and 100% satisfaction guarantee. Of course, it’s always smart to check out what the competition’s up to, so let’s take a quick look at my personal favorite, Northwest Registered Agent.

Pricing: Northwest Registered Agent’s pricing starts at $125 per state for up to 3 states. For your 4th-9th states it’s $115, and every state after that is $100. CorpNet has a flat $149 rate, but keep in mind that if you need formation service you can get a year for free.

Features: Northwest Registered Agent locally scans all documents and immediately notifies you every time, and they provide annual report reminders.

Customer Support: CorpNet has a great service department and an excellent reputation for their helpful support reps. However, Northwest Registered Agent has built their entire reputation on next-level customer service. Their professional support team is always just a phone call away.

Experience: CorpNet has been in the business since 2009, while Northwest Registered Agent was founded in 1998.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I Act As My Own Registered Agent?

In some states, yes, you can. That doesn’t mean you should. If you do act as your own registered agent, you have to be available from 8am-5pm every weekday, and likely make your private home address a matter of public record.

What Happens if I Don’t Have a Registered Agent?

There’s some pretty serious risks involved. You might lose your good standing in your state of operation, or be prohibited from doing business, or even have to pay some significant fines. We really don’t think it’s worth the risk.

Can I Change Registered Agents?

You certainly can, although the process varies depending on your state of operation. Make sure to check and see if your state has any specific forms to fill out, or change fees to pay.

Should You Use CorpNet?

CorpNet earns a 4.6/5 score in my book. Their excellent customer reviews and 100% satisfaction guarantee set them apart from their competition. That being said, if this doesn’t sound like your perfect fit, check out our Best Registered Agent Services review. Cheers!
