Describe your product or service:

“Landzo Technology Co., Ltd. focuses on the development of AI teaching tools and toys in STEAM education.”

Describe your company values and mission:

“Committed to innovation and practices in STEAM education”

How are you funded? I.e. venture capital, angel investors, etc.

“Venture capital.”

How big is your team? Tell us a little about them (I.e. co-founders, freelancers, etc.)

“More than 500 employees with R&D team, sales team, and marketing team both for domestic market and overseas market.”

Did you always want to start your own business? What made you want to become an entrepreneur?

“Make my own achievements.”

How did you come up with your startup idea? How did you decide to actually act on the idea? What gave you confidence that you were on the right track?

“The experience of making smart car labs for schools and universities linked me to the education field and started a new business of STEAM education maker content. STEAM education became hot in China, and I had the resources [in that field], so teaching tools and toys were added to my business.”

How did you come up with your company name? Did you have other names you considered?

“It is just similar [to] the pronunciation of the company's Chinese name. Regarding the Chinese name, it is related to the universe as we have stars and planets concepts and elements in our toys.”

What is the greatest challenge you faced in starting your business, and how did you overcome it?

“‘What kind of STEAM toys should I make?’ was the challenge. I decided to take [advantage] of my experience in tech and made tech tools and toys.”

Who is your product or service made for? Who is your target market?

“Kids ages 3 to 15.”

What's your marketing strategy?

“We are mainly selling online within China, but we are developing overseas markets as well.”

How did you acquire your first 100 customers?

“From [our] online ecommerce store.”

What are the key customer metrics / unit economics / KPIs you pay attention to to monitor the health of your business?

“As we are selling through online stores, input-output ratio, profit rate, and conversion rate are all important.”

What is something that surprised you about entrepreneurship?

“Although many entrepreneurs are very young, there are many successful entrepreneurs who are middle-aged or even older.”

How do you achieve work/life balance as a founder?

“Improve work efficiency and make good use of fragmented time to provide time for life.”

How do you stay motivated?

“Every month [I] need to set aside time for thinking and summarizing.”

Did you have to develop any habits that helped lead you to success? If so, what are they?

“If you have a good idea, find a way to execute it immediately.”

What are you most proud of as an entrepreneur?

“Able to continuously carry out research on innovative products.”
