What is an Employer Identification Number?

This 9-digit number series is your business’ personal identification with the IRS. It will be your business’ unique identifier as you do transactions with different entities.

Also, this is what the IRS uses to monitor if you have been religiously paying your obligations to the state. You use this in basically every facet of your business in Arkansas.

How to Obtain an EIN Number in Arkansas

Obtaining an EIN number in Arkansas is now easier as there are several ways to get one. You can choose which one is most convenient for you.

Online Application

The easiest way to apply for an EIN number is through online application using the IRS website link. Just follow the instructions carefully, and you should be able to get your EIN right after.

Fax Application

To file for an EIN through fax, download your SS-4 form and fill it out appropriately. Make sure all the entries contain the right information and send it to 859-669-5760. Your EIN number will be faxed to you within four business days so make sure to provide your fax number as well.

Telephone Application

To apply for an EIN through phone, call 1-800-829-4933. The schedule for calling is from Monday to Friday at 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Just make sure that you have all the information to the SS-4 form on hand because you will be asked questions during the phone call. As soon as the call ends, you will have your EIN by then.

Mail Application

Again you can download the SS-4 form, and fill it out. Once you have verified that you entered all the correct information, you can mail the form to:
