When creating marketing campaigns, it’s important to deploy content that makes a strong first impression. Here are a few steps to help you along the way:

1) Know Your Audience

You probably hear this again and again—I don’t want to be redundant but I need to stress: this step is the most crucial part of any marketing campaign. Period. Being aware of your audience will not only let you know what type of content you should create but also give you insight into the best strategies to implement to bring the most value to your customers.

Just like any other relationship, your followers will grow to know you and your voice, so the only way to bring them the best possible content is to get to know them as well. It’s a relationship and relationships require time and effort into getting to know one another.

2) Create Great Content

Easier said than done, right? Make yourself stand out. There is no point in creating content that’s been done a million times before, and let’s face it: no one wants to read content that sucks. Your content should take time and it should be absolutely flawless. Bring value that excites your customers and moves them to share your content with others.

3) Use Social Media

This may seem obvious to some but over the years I’ve encountered a ridiculous number of brand new businesses that don’t use (or care about) social media. Nothing is a bigger turn-off to a savvy customer than an incomplete social media presence, so be purposeful and consistent.

Choose a platform or two and go all out! The amount of people that you can reach via social media is limitless so there is no reason that you shouldn’t take advantage of these tools.

Tip #3 – Make Social Media Easy: To establish consistency, it’s essential to create a schedule and stick with it. If managing social media seems like a burden, outsource it.
